Achille Castiglioni, an internationally renowned architect with a powerful visionary capacity, was a leading figure in the golden age of design in the sixties. In his long career he created 150 objects – true icons of modern culture – and 484 installations, an instrument of cultural and commercial communication of extraordinary importance, which has always been central to the tradition of production.
The exhibition presents sketches, drawings, models, original objects and prototypes that showcase his perfect combination of simplicity and irony while exploring his great skill at choreographing displays, the depth of his ideas and his ability to build spaces in close collaboration with graphic designers, in particular the Swiss designer Max Huber.
