This book is dedicated to the long and fascinating journey that Loro Piana makes each year, between April and May, through the remote, pristine lands of Mongolia to buy cashmere and baby cashmere.

For more than a decade, Loro Piana has established a special relationship with the shepherds of these lands who raise Hyrcus goats and their kids that provide this precious fiber. 
Baby cashmere is extremely rare and exclusively obtained from the undercoat of Hyrcus kid goats. Possessing unparalleled lightness and softness, the fiber is available in extremely limited quantities and is a genuine breakthrough for Loro Piana, the new frontier of cashmere. 
Through six fascinating chapters with photographs, the book covers the journey to the most remote areas of Mongolia, between the steppes and desert, to reach the cashmere and baby cashmere collection center, a traveling settlement dotted with the traditional Ger tents that serve as both showroom and storeroom for the fibers.
In these magical, timeless settings, animals and humans have lived in harmony with the wild, rugged landscape for millennia.
